North Dakota State has been one of the hottest teams on the recruiting trail this spring. The 2023 class for the Bison currently ranks 3rd in the FCS only behind Jackson State and Eastern Kentucky. North Dakota State landed another major commitment Wednesday afternoon from Charmar Brown who announced his commitment to the Bison on social media.

Charmar Brown is a 2-star prospect out of Omaha, NE and ranks as a Top-150 running back in the country. Brown is the 13th best prospect in the state of Nebraska and is the #1 running back in the state in the class of 2023. The 6-foot, 200-pound running back totaled 1,202 rushing yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, and averaged 6.9 yards per carry throughout the 2021 season.
Brown held offers from Ball State, Miami (OH), South Dakota State, Northern Iowa, and Lindenwood. He also has received interest from Nebraska and Iowa State as he was invited to Junior Day for the Cornhuskers this spring. Brown is the sole running back commitment for the Bison in the class of 2023 and will join defensive lineman Kade Pieper as commitments from the state of Nebraska.
Brown has excellent vision and patience with the ball in his hands. He was clocked running a 4.53 last season in the 40-Yard Dash and has been a top performer at multiple camps over the past year. This next season could be a big one for Brown as he returns as one of the top offensive weapons for Creighton Preparatory School.
North Dakota State now has 10 commitments for the class of 2023, which ranks 109th in the country according to 247Sports. North Dakota State now holds commitments from the #1 running back in Nebraska and the #1 ATH in the state of Wisconsin. The Bison are on pace to have one of the best recruiting classes in school history and have now landed 9 commitments in the month of June.
