UTM QB Cornelious Brown IV Transfers To AAMU

Former UT Martin quarterback Cornelious Brown IV announced his transfer to Alabama A&M. Brown will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Bulldogs. 

He played in seven games last season for the Skyhawks and helped UT Martin win a share of the OVC championship. He transferred to UT Martin from Georgia State after the 2021 season. 

At Georgia State, Brown earned the starting quarterback job in 2020 and was named the MVP of the 2020 LendingTree Bowl. He finished second in the Sun Belt in passing, total offense, and points responsible for. He set the freshman school record for rushing touchdowns in 2020. Brown finished the 2020 season with 2,278 passing yards, 17 passing touchdowns, 301 rushing yards, and seven rushing touchdowns. 

Former VT QB Devin Farrell Commits To Rhode Island

Former Virginia Tech quarterback Devin Farrell announced his commitment to Rhode Island. He will have four years of eligibility remaining for the Rams. 

Farrell redshirted for the Hokies last season during his true freshman season. 

He signed with the Hokies as a three-star recruit out of Milton High School. He was the No. 48 quarterback in the class of 2022. Farrell finished his senior season with 1,983 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns, 875 rushing yards, and 10 rushing touchdowns. He led Milton to a 23-2 record as the starting quarterback over his junior and senior seasons. 

Campbell DL Paul Hutson III Transfers To Austin Peay

Former Campbell defensive tackle Paul Hutson III announced his commitment to Austin Peay. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Governors. Hutson announced his transfer from Campbell on April 13. 

Hutson saw action in 11 games as a true freshman in 2022. He finished the season with 23 total tackles, one tackle for loss, three quarterback hurries, and two blocked kicks. 

Hutson signed with Campbell as a three-star prospect in the class of 2022. He helped lead IMG Academy to the MaxPreps National Championship as a junior and ranked as a top-100 player in the state of Florida. 

Liberty DE Rashaud Pernell Commits To NCAT

Former Liberty defensive end Rashaud Pernell announced his commitment to North Carolina A&T. Pernell will have four years of eligibility remaining for the Aggies. 

Pernell originally signed with Virginia Tech but decided to reopen his recruitment and signed with Liberty. He redshirted last season for the Flames during his true freshman year. 

Pernell earned first-team 5C All-Region honors at Highland Springs High School. He finished his senior season with 58 total tackles, 11 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles.
