2024 3-Star QB Holden Bea Commits To Idaho
Three-star quarterback Holden Bea announced his commitment to Idaho. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback is from Washougal High School in Washougal, Washington. He committed to the Vandals over interest from Portland State, Columbia, Arizona, Weber State, Utah State, and Wyoming.
Bea is the No. 114 quarterback and No. 30 player in Washington, according to 247Sports. He helped lead Washougal to an undefeated league record and the first home playoff win in school history. This past season Washougal made the second state championship berth in the past four seasons.
Bea was named The Columbian’s All-Region Player of the Year and the GSHL 2A Offensive MVP. He finished the season with 2,559 passing yards, 581 rushing yards, 30 passing touchdowns, and 10 rushing touchdowns.
All-State DL Jordan Pritchard-Sewell Commits To Holy Cross
2024 defensive lineman Jordan Pritchard-Sewell announced his commitment to Holy Cross. The 6-foot-2, 281-pound defensive lineman is from Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio.
Sewell earned second-team All-Ohio and first-team All-Northeast Incland District honors as a junior. He finished the season with 81 total tackles, 50 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, six forced fumbles, and three defensive touchdowns.
Sewell committed to the Crusaders over offers from UAB, Temple, Akron, Kent State, and Navy.
2024 WR Deng Deng Commits To North Dakota
2024 wide receiver Deng Deng announced his commitment to North Dakota. The 6-foot-5, 197-pound wide receiver is from Four Winds High School in Fort Totten, North Dakota.
Deng helped lead Four Winds to a program-best five wins last season. He finished his junior year with 32 receptions for 666 receiving yards, 20.8 yards per reception, and eight touchdowns. He was named the MaxPreps Player of the Year for Four Winds in the 2022 season. Deng had a breakout sophomore season with 25 receptions for 526 receiving yards, 21.0 yards per reception, and four touchdowns.
Deng is also a standout on the basketball court as he earned All-State honors last season. He finished last season averaging 23.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game.
Harvard Lands Commitment From 2024 ATH Cam Ware
2024 athlete Cam Ware announced his commitment to Harvard on Thursday. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound athlete is from Lake Highland Prep in Orlando, Florida.
Ware helped lead Lake Highland to an undefeated season and their second consecutive SSAC State Championship. He finished the season with 430 rushing yards, 14.3 yards per carry, 508 receiving yards, 19.5 yards per reception, 231 return yards, and 14 total touchdowns. He earned SSAC All-South and Orlando All-Area honors.
Ware committed to the Crimson over offers from Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Army, and Air Force. He has elite speed as he was clocked running a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash last season. He has the ability to be an electric return specialist and slot wide receiver for the Crimson.
JUCO RB Mike McGowan Transfers To Mercer
East Mississippi running back Mike McGowan announced his commitment to Mercer. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Bears.
McGowan finished his sophomore season with 548 rushing yards, 5.6 yards per carry, and two rushing touchdowns. He helped lead the Lions to the eighth conference championship in the past 14 seasons. He transferred to EMCC after playing two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast. McGowan totaled 612 rushing yards and seven touchdowns over his two seasons at MGCCC.
McGowan signed with MGCCC out of Petal (Miss.) High School in 2020. He earned first-team All-State honors after rushing for 1,819 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior. He was also selected to participate in the Bernard Blackwell All-Star Game. As a junior, McGowan totaled 1,219 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns.
