3-Star RB Maxwell Woods Commits To North Dakota State

2024 running back Maxwell Woods announced his commitment to North Dakota State. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back is from Chanhassen High School in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He committed to the Bison over offers from Air Force, Navy, South Dakota State, and Army. 

Woods is the No. 16 player in the state of Minnesota and No. 141 running back in the class of 2024. He finished his junior season with 1,414 rushing yards, 7,3 yards per carry, and 18 rushing touchdowns. Woods earned second-team All-Metro and first-team All-District honors. 

Woods is the 11th commitment in the 2024 class for the Bison. He will join a Bison running back room that is projected to lose TaMerik Williams and TK Marshall after the 2022 season.



Former Memphis LB Antwain Barham Transfers To MVSU

Former Memphis linebacker Antwain Barham announced his transfer to Mississippi Valley State. He will have four years of eligibility remaining for the Delta Devils.

Barham redshirted as a true freshman and appeared in one game for the Tigers in 2022. He signed with Memphis as a three-star prospect out of Milan, Tennessee. He signed with the Tigers over offers from Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Indiana, Tulane, and Liberty. 

Barham was the No. 134 linebacker and No. 40 player in the state of Tennessee in the class of 2022. He finished his senior season with 65 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and three interceptions. He earned second-team All-West Tennessee honors. 



2024 LB Kaydon Degraffenreid Commits To Howard

2024 linebacker Kaydon Degraffenreid announced his commitment to Howard. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker is from Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion, Michigan. He committed to Howard over offers from Western Michigan and Buffalo. 

Degraffenreid earned All-Region and All-League honors last season. He finished his junior season with 101 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, one sack, and one defensive touchdown.

Degraffenreid was named one of the top performers at the Columbus Under Armour Next Camp in May. He has the athleticism to play multiple positions for the Bison and could fit a similar role as All-American safety Kenny Gallop Jr. 



2024 DB Chaas McCoy Commits To Rhode Island

2024 defensive back Chaas McCoy announced his commitment to Rhode Island. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound cornerback is from Pope John XXIII High School in Sparta, New Jersey. He transferred to West Orange High School from Pope John this offseason.

McCoy earned first-team All-County and second-team All-Conference honors last season. He finished the year with 42 total tackles, two interceptions, four tackles for loss, and seven pass breakups.

He committed to the Rams over offers from Akron, Marshall, Bryant, Elon, and Maine.
