UC Davis Lands 2024 3-Star Safety Jordan Jones

2024 safety Jordan Jones announced his commitment to UC Davis on Monday. The 6-foot, 180-pound safety is from Warren High School in Downey, California. He committed to the Aggies over offers from Bryant, Idaho, Weber State, and Sacramento State. 

Jones is the No. 165 safety and No. 266 player in the state of California, according to 247Sports. He finished his junior season with 38 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, three pass breakups, and three forced fumbles.

Over his first three seasons at Warren, Jones has totaled 61 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, four pass breakups, three fumble recoveries, and three forced fumbles. He will join a talented UC Davis secondary that is led by All-American safety Rex Connors



2024 3-Star QB Ty McCutcheon Commits To Utah Tech

2024 quarterback Ty McCutcheon announced his commitment to Utah Tech on Monday. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound quarterback is from Punahou High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. He committed to the Trailblazers over offers from Arizona, Texas State, Utah State, and Washington State.

McCutcheon is the No. 1052 player and No. 47 quarterback in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 1 quarterback and No. 4 player in the state of Hawaii. 

McCutcheon saw limited action last behind senior quarterback John-Keawe Sagapolutele, who is now at Hawaii. He finished his junior season with 699 passing yards and six touchdowns. He was named one of the top performers at the Sup7r tournament in Southern California as he led Lo-Pro to the championship. 



2024 WR Myron Dunklin Commits To North Alabama

2024 wide receiver Myron Dunklin announced his commitment to North Alabama. The 6-foot, 195-pound wide receiver is from Mobile, AL, and currently plays at Saraland High School. He transferred after playing his first two seasons at Blount High School.

Dunklin finished his junior season with 36 receptions for 423 receiving yards, 11.8 yards per reception, and two touchdowns. He will join four-star quarterback KJ Lacey at Saraland this season as the Spartans look to win back-to-back 6A state championships.

Over the past two seasons, Dunklin totaled 76 receptions for 1,023 receiving yards, 13.5 yards per reception, and 10 receiving touchdowns. 



All-Conference DL Darren Vasquez Transfers To PVAMU

Former Golden West College defensive lineman Darren Vasquez announced his commitment to Prairie View A&M. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Panthers.

Vasquez earned second-team All-Conference honors last season. He finished the year with 39 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and four pass breakups. He had a career game against East Los Angeles in the season finale with five tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for loss. 

As a freshman, Vasquez totaled 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. He helped lead Golden West to the first Southern League Championship in school history with a 12-7 win over Fullerton.
