Former Utah RB Ricky Parks Transfers To Fordham

Former Utah running back Ricky Parks announced his commitment to Fordham. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Rams.

Parks redshirted during his true freshman season and did not see any action during the 2022 season. He signed with the Utes as a four-star prospect out of Gaither (Fla.) High School. He was the No. 19 running back and No. 45 player in the state of Florida in the class of 2021.

Parks earned All-Conference honors as a senior after rushing for 688 yards and 11 touchdowns. He averaged 7.2 yards per carry and was named the MaxPreps Offensive Player of the Week against Chamberlain High School. He earned first-team All-County and second-team All-Tampa Bay as a junior at Jesuit (Fla.) High School. He finished his junior season with 1,251 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.



Virginia Tech WR Tink Boyd Transfers To Bethune-Cookman

Former Virginia Tech wide receiver Tink Boyd announced his transfer to Bethune-Cookman. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Wildcats.

Boyd saw action in 15 games, with one start, for the Hokies over four seasons. He played a large role on special teams, including recovering a muffed punt against Boston College last season. He signed with the Hokies out of Trinity Episcopal (Va.) School in the class of 2018.

Boyd broke the single-season record for receiving yards (1,364) as a senior. He finished his senior season with 69 receptions for 1,364 yards and 15 receiving touchdowns. He set the single-game records for all-purpose yards (347), receiving yards (300), and receiving touchdowns (5) in 2017. Boyd helped lead Trinity Episcopal to two state championships during his four-year career. 



Mercer Flips Georgia Tech DB Commit Nelson Woghiren

2023 defensive back Nelson Woghiren announced his commitment to Mercer on Saturday. He was originally committed to Georgia Tech as a preferred walk-on for the Yellow Jackets. 

Woghiren earned first-team All-Region honors last season. He finished his senior season with 77 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, two interceptions, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

The 6-foot, 180-pound safety is from Kell High School in Marietta, Georgia. Woghiren is a massive pickup for the Bears as Mercer is projected to lose All-American safety Lance Wise and Richie Coffey after this season. 



2024 ATH Jaeden Jones Commits To Monmouth

2024 athlete Jaeden Jones announced his commitment to Monmouth. The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete is from Colonia High School in Colonia, New Jersey. 

Jones finished his junior season with 1,661 rushing yards, 1,059 passing yards, 25 total touchdowns, 82 total tackles, two interceptions, and 11 pass breakups. He led the county in rushing yards and averaged 6.7 yards per carry for the season. 

Jones was named the 2022 Liberty Gold Division Player of the Year. He earned first-team All-County, first-team All-Division, and was named second-team All-Conference. He was also awarded the Top Rushing Quarterback Award from Central Jersey Sports.
