All-American Deonte Bryant Transfers To Tarleton State
Former Iowa Central defensive lineman Deonte Bryant announced his commitment to Tarleton State. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Texans. Bryant initially signed with Central Michigan but announced his transfer on May 19.
He played three seasons at Iowa Central and was ranked the No. 1 junior college defensive end by 247Sports. Bryant earned first-team ICCAC All-Conference honors and was named a JUCO All-American honorable mention last season.
Bryant finished the season with 45 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 20.5 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery. He ranked second in the ICCAC in sacks and helped lead the Tritons to a Game One Bowl victory over Trinity Valley. As a freshman, Bryant totaled 27 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 11.5 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery.
All-Conference QB Nick Garcia Commits To Tennessee Tech
Former Glendale Community College quarterback Nick Garcia announced his commitment to Tennessee Tech. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Golden Eagles.
Garcia earned All-Conference honors in back-to-back seasons at Glendale. Over two seasons, Garcia totaled 4,524 passing yards and 54 passing touchdowns for the Vaqueros.
Garcia holds the school record for passing touchdowns, which he set against L.A. Southwest College with five passing touchdowns. He also ranks second in school history in career passing yards.
2024 3-Star QB Luke Flowers Commits To Montana
Three-star quarterback Luke Flowers announced his commitment to Montana. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound quarterback is from Rigby High School in Rigby, Idaho. He committed to Montana over Arizona, which was his first FBS offer in his recruitment.
Flowers is the No. 4 player in the state of Idaho, according to 247Sports. He was named the 5A Idaho Player of the Year after leading Rigby to back-to-back state championships. He finished the season with 3,009 passing yards, 37 total touchdowns, and completed 71 percent of his passes.
In the playoffs, Flowers totaled 1,192 passing yards, 15 total touchdowns, and completed 73 percent of his passes in only four games. He will aim to lead Rigby to the fourth state championship in five years.
Fresno State DL Miles Bailey Transfers To Murray State
Former Fresno State defensive lineman Miles Bailey announced his transfer to Murray State. Bailey will have four years of eligibility remaining for the Racers.
Bailey redshirted last season for the Bulldogs as a true freshman. He signed with Fresno State as a three-star prospect out of Benicia High School in Benicia, California. He was the No. 79 player in the state of California and ranked as the No. 116 defensive lineman in the class of 2022.
Bailey finished his senior season with 61 tackles, 10 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He earned third-team All-State and first-team All-Conference honors. Over his three seasons, Bailey totaled 134 tackles, 23 sacks, three forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries.
