Campbell RB Michael Jamerson III Transfers To UAPB
F0rmer Campbell running back Michael Jamerson III announced his commitment to Arkansas Pine-Bluff. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Golden Lions.
Jamerson led the Camels in rushing during the 2021 season. He finished the season with 328 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, and averaged 3.7 yards per carry.
Jamerson signed with Campbell out of Gila River Community College. He earned third-team Junior College All-American honors and helped lead Gila River to an undefeated season in 2020.
3-Star RB Quin Renfro Commits To South Dakota State
Three-star running back Quin Renfro announced his commitment to South Dakota State. He committed to the Jacks over Southeast Missouri State and interest from multiple FBS programs.
Renfro finished his junior season with 1,514 rushing yards, 24 rushing touchdowns, and averaged 7.6 yards per carry. He scored eight rushing touchdowns and accumulated 314 rushing yards in the regular-season finale against Neosho High School. Over his first two seasons, Renfro totaled 1,016 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back is from Joplin High School in Joplin, Missouri. Renfro is the No. 76 running back and No. 22 player in the state of Missouri, according to 247Sports.
ETSU OL Fred Norman Jr. Transfers To Furman
Former East Tennessee State offensive lineman Fred Norman Jr. announced his commitment to Furman. He will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Paladins.
Norman earned SoCon All-Freshman honors in 2020-21 after starting all six games of the season. He has allowed only four sacks over four seasons and recorded over 80 knockdowns the past two seasons at ETSU.
Norman signed with East Tennessee State out of Ridgeland High School in 2019. He earned All-Region and All-State honors in three consecutive seasons. He also was a standout basketball player as he finished his career with over 1,000 points and 700 rebounds.
Georgia Tech LB Khatavian Franks Commits To Duquesne
Former Georgia Tech linebacker Khatavian Franks announced his commitment to Duquesne. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Dukes.
Franks did not see any action over three seasons at Georgia Tech. In the spring game this year, Franks totaled two tackles and one pass breakup. He signed with the Yellow Jackets as a four-star prospect out of Creekside High School.
Franks was ranked the No. 12 inside linebacker in the class of 2020, according to 247Sports. He was named the 2019 Region 5-AAAAAA co-Player of the Year and earned GSWA Class AAAAAA All-State honors in 2020. He finished the 2019 season with 158 total tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, and five interceptions.
