Tennessee DB Romello Edwards Transfers To Rhode Island
Former Tennessee defensive back Romello Edwards announced his commitment to Rhode Island. The 6-foot, 187-pound cornerback will have one year of eligibility remaining for the Rams.
Edwards saw action in 10 games over five seasons with the Vols, recording six total tackles. He redshirted as a true freshman in 2018 but saw action in four games in each of the past two seasons. He recorded a career-high three tackles against UT Martin this past season.
Edwards was a walk-on for the Vols out of Neumann-Goretti High School in 2018. He was ranked the No. 36 cornerback in Philadelphia by MaxPreps. He helped lead Neumann-Goretti to an undefeated conference record as a senior in 2017.
Princeton Lands Texas Player of the Year DL Dustan Mark
2024 defensive lineman Dustan Mark announced his commitment to Princeton. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound defensive end is from Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas.
Mark was named the Texas District 4-6A Defensive Player of the Year last season. He finished his junior season with 85 total tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 26 quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles. He was a major piece in helping Southlake Carroll to a 13-1 record and earned TSWA third-team All-State honors.
Mark committed to the Tigers over an offer from Tulsa and interest from Sam Houston State, Marshall, Memphis, Navy, and Stephen F. Austin.
Oregon State DB Johnathan Riley Transfers To CCSU
Former Oregon State defensive back Johnathan Riley announced his transfer to Central Connecticut State. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound safety will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Blue Devils.
Riley did see any action for the Beavers over the past three seasons. He signed with Oregon State out of Kilgore College in the class of 2020. Riley was the No. 8 safety and No. 80 player nationally coming out of junior college. He played in 10 games as a freshman and finished the season with 34 tackles, two interceptions, and two pass breakups.
Before signing with Kilgore, Riley was a three-star prospect out of North Point High School. He led North Point to a 31-4 record over three seasons and finished his senior season with five interceptions.
2024 ATH Waylon DeGrave Commits To Lindenwood
2024 athlete Waylon DeGrave announced his commitment to Lindenwood. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound athlete is from Monroe City High School in Missouri.
DeGrave has earned All-State honors in three consecutive seasons at multiple positions. He finished his junior season with 1,455 rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, 300 yards receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns. He is also a five-time All-State selection in track at Monroe City.
DeGrave has recorded 1,414 receiving yards, 17 receiving touchdowns, 1,511 rushing yards, and 18 rushing touchdowns over three seasons. He joins East St. Louis quarterback Robert Battle as talented in-state commitments for Lindenwood in the class of 2024.
