3-Star LB Ryan Bowles Commits To Montana State

2024 three-star linebacker Ryan Bowles announced his commitment to Montana State. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker is from Woodinville High School in Woodinville, Washington. He committed to the Bobcats over interest from Washington State, Montana, Columbia, Eastern Washington, and Idaho. 

Bowles is the No. 3 linebacker and No. 28 player in the state of Washington, according to 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 156 linebacker in the class of 2024. Bowles earned preseason All-State honors prior to the 2022 season after being named an All-KingCo honorable mention as a sophomore. 

Bowles earned second-team All-KingCo honors last season as a junior. He finished the season with 114 total tackles, three sacks, six tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one interception.



Howard Lands Commitment From 2024 LB Rufus Ferguson II

2024 linebacker Rufus Ferguson II announced his commitment to Howard. The 6-foot, 205-pound linebacker is from Sickles High School in Tampa, Florida. His father, Dr. Rhadi Ferguston, was inducted into the Howard University Hall of Fame in 2014. 

Ferguson finished his junior season with 102 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles. He earned first-team Hillsborough All-Conference and All-District honors. He was also considered for the high school Butkus Award, which is awarded to the nation’s best high school linebacker. Ferguson had a breakout sophomore season in 2021, recording 64 total tackles and seven tackles for loss.

Ferguson is a multiple-time Judo champion and is expected to earn his black belt this year. He also qualified for the Track & Field state championship in the 4X100 meter relay. He is the second linebacker in the 2024 class for the Bison, joining All-Region linebacker Kaydon Degraffenreid from Lake Orion. 



Northwestern State LB Dez Williams Enters Transfer Portal

Northwestern State linebacker Dez Williams announced his entry into the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot, 217-pound linebacker is from Mound Bayou, Mississippi. 

Williams saw action in 10 games, recording 13 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one sack for the Demons. He was named the Special Teams Player of the Week against Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 12. 

Williams transferred to Northwestern State prior to the 2022 season from Coahoma Community College. He earned first-team All-MACCC honors in 2021 after totaling 57 tackles, two tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and one pass breakup. He recorded 24 total tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, and one interception as a true freshman. 



2024 WR Isaiah Hudson Commits To New Hampshire

2024 wide receiver Isaiah Hudson announced his commitment to New Hampshire. The 6-foot, 175-pound wide receiver is from Sickles High School in Tampa, Florida.

Hudson finished his junior season with 70 receptions for 1,117 receiving yards, eight touchdowns, and averaged 16.0 yards per reception. He led the state in receptions and ranked No. 3 in receiving yards during the regular season. He earned All-District and All-Hillsborough County honors, while also being named a 4M All-State honorable mention. 

Hudson is another talented piece to the 2024 class for the Wildcats. The Wildcats have done an excellent job recruiting the state of Florida as Hudson joins 3-star IMG Academy safety Eric Lee as Florida prospects in the 2024 class.
