Alabama State DB Irshaad Davis Enters Transfer Portal
On Sunday, Alabama State defensive back Irshaad Davis announced his entry into the transfer portal. Davis will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Davis is a two-time SWAC All-Conference selection, including being a first-team selection in 2021. He also earned second-team FCS All-American honors and was named a BOXTOROW HBCU All-American in 2021.
Over his four seasons at Alabama State, Davis totaled 211 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, five interceptions, and 19 pass breakups.

Delaware State P Matt Noll Commits To Jackson State
Former Delaware State punter Matt Noll announced his commitment to Jackson State. Noll will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Tigers.
Over two seasons, Noll averaged 41.7 yards per punt and had 26 punts that traveled over 50 yards. His career-long is 80 yards and has pinned 31 punts inside the 20-yard line.
He earned first-team MEAC All-Conference in two consecutive seasons and was named a first-team BOXTOROW HBCU All-American. Noll was also a finalist for the FCS Punter of the Year.

Harvard DB Jelani Machen Transfers To Bryant
Former Harvard defensive back Jelani Machen announced his commitment to Bryant. Machen will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Bulldogs.
He saw action in 16 games over three seasons after the Ivy League canceled the 2020 season. He finished the 2022 season with three total tackles and one touchdown on special teams on a blocked punt.
Before signing with Harvard, Machen was named the 2018 Interstate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and was a first-team All-Met selection. He also earned first-team All-IAC honors in 2017 and was named the Offensive MVP.

Delaware DB Shoes Brinkley Enters Transfer Portal
Delaware defensive back Shoes Brinkley announced his entry into the transfer portal on April 19. He will have three years of eligibility remaining at his new program.
Brinkley saw action in 11 games with one start as a true freshman in 2022. He finished the season with 14 tackles, one fumble recovery, one pass breakup and 39 return yards.
Before signing with Delaware, Brinkley led Mater Dei in interceptions and tackles as the Monarchs won the Trinity League Championship in 2021. He played his first three seasons at Northeast High School before transferring to Mater Dei. He earned first-team All-State honors as a junior and was a two-time Philadelphia All-Public School selection.
