Connor is a consensus 3-star prospect out of Inglewood, CA in the Class of 2023. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defensive back ranks as a Top-55 safety in the country and a Top-80 prospect in the state of California. He made the move to the defensive side of the ball last season and immediately made his mark for Inglewood High School. This offseason Connor has been a standout on the camp circuit and was named a standout by 247Sports at the SoCal UC Report Elite Underclassmen Camp. Connor has been impressive at 7-on-7 camps this offseason where he has claimed MVP honors at the RVC SoCal event and was named 1st Team All-RVC Defense.
Connor held offers from multiple Power-5 programs including Ole Miss, Arizona State, California, and Pittsburgh. He has the ability to play multiple roles on the defensive side of the ball at Campbell. He can fit into a true safety role or slide into the Nickel spot for the Camels as he has shown at multiple camps this offseason. The Camels will be looking to replace multiple defensive backs after the 2022 season as the Camels have eight upperclassmen at the defensive back spot entering the 2022 season. Safeties coach Patrick Miller has been one the top recruiters in the FCS since he was hired in 2021 and is an intricate part of the Camels strong recruiting presence these past two cycles.
Connor is the 2nd commitment in the Class of 2023 for the Camels joining 3-star ATH Elijah Rogers. With the commitment of Connor; Campbell’s 2023 class will rank 101st in the country and be the 2nd highest rated FCS recruiting class in the country. The Camels had the #1 high school recruiting class in the FCS last season and are on pace to have back-to-back top ranked recruiting classes in 2023.
